PA State Representative Josh Bashline Visits HAVFC

The Hawthorn Area Volunteer Fire Department, located in Southern Clarion County, Pennsylvania, is responsible for responding to emergency calls in Hawthorn borough, Redbank Township, Clarion County, and Redbank  Township, Armstrong County

Formed in 1957, the HAVFD has stood ready for 68 years to assist area residents and visitors with Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services.

On average, the department responds to approximately 300 emergency calls per year, attending to all fire and rescue calls. We also have a certified QRS team that responds to all EMS calls within the department's coverage area to provide patient care before the ambulance arrival and assist as further needed.

We continually strive to maintain and upgrade our vehicles and equipment, and provide the necessary training to keep our crews certified and competent.

Our tireless volunteers also help make this a safer, better, and happier community by organizing fundraisers and participating in many exciting community-building events.
